Here are 30+ years of maybe-no-so-remembered GT football observations I like to think about before football seasons: Just saying "Lenny Snow" makes me feel young. Got to shake Danny Myers hand at a tailgate a few years ago. That made me feel young, too. David Sims turning the corner and scoring the deciding TD against ND in 1976 running right toward me in the North Stands. Freshman Mike Kelley coming in the game against California in 1978. Pepper changed from the Wish Bone to passing for him and we won the next seven games. Freshman FB Malcolm King breaking a long run up the middle against uga in 1984 to open the floodgates. Gary Lee coming out of the fog in the South End Zone in 1985 when we absolutely had to have it. Jerry Mayes breakout game against NC State in 1986. A 34-0 slaughter of top ten USCe in 1988 being the only win against a major conference school that year. Jerry Mayes dancing the sideline against uga late in his last GT game in 1989 while the crowd chanted "Jer-ry". Wish he could have played with the 1990 team. 1990- The Annus Mirabilis for GT Athletics. Watching Rogers and Brookings, our best ever LB duo, for three years in the mid-90's. Wish they could have played with the 1998 team. Watching Hamilton, White and Campbell put up almost 600 yds on the FSU beast defense stacked with All Americans in 1999. Was sitting in the end zone where Campbell outran their DB's for a long TD early in the game. The "Oh Hell" look in the DB's eyes is a favorite memory. Godsey giving the 3 fingers to uga fans in athens. Lots more I won't bore you with.
