Maryland is a 45.5-point favorite over Hampton, with the game framed more around sharpness and early separation than whether the Terps can win.

Hampton already played in Week 0 under first-year coach Van Malone, giving Maryland film on Southern transfer quarterback Jalen Woods after he threw for 191 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception while adding 23 rushing yards.

Maryland's defense also has to account for freshman running back Amari Pryear after he opened with 132 rushing yards on only eight carries.
