Guys the NIL deals the last two years have actually kind of curbed this a bit. The main sit out for the Gaspirilla bowl was Mensah who we didn't have an solid NIL contract because he came out of nowhere. Hopefully that is standard now. Everyone else was pretty much there particularly on defense. We lost because our offense completely sucked with Thompson at the helm only avoiding getting shut out by scoing with 29 second sleft in the game. Our defense hel them to 6 at half time and 16 a the end of 3. That 16 included points off of two ints by Thopmson in our own territory. This is a problem that NIL is actually fixing to a decent degree. Now does that make the bowls the same? No. Coaching changes are still going to hurt. We didn't go through this last year so we kinda of missed the changes. Things are moving fast and 2026 is not the same world as 2022,23, 24. However, the main transfer window is now moved to January. If we play a lower P$ school this year it will likely be the same team assuming NIL is handled appropriately.
