These are people that have highback chairs with their names on them in the Oval Office. This is socialism to the extreame and it's coming from the White House: Elon Musk (Tesla / xAI): Musk stated during an AI safety discussion and subsequent forum appearances that artificial intelligence will be able to do everything. He predicted that within 10 to 20 years, traditional work will no longer be necessary for survival, replaced instead by a "universal high income" where jobs become optional hobbies akin to growing a home vegetable garden. Dario Amodei (Anthropic): While warning about severe short-term displacement of white-collar roles, Amodei has spoken about a long-term trajectory where the centrality of work diminishes significantly, suggesting future generations might only need to work a fraction of today's hours. Sam Altman (OpenAI): Altman has frequently discussed a future of extreme post-scarcity abundance driven by AI, though he has tempered predictions of a total end to work, noting instead that human roles and societal structures will dramatically shift.
