https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELrImuFKX5U UCF opened its 2026 season with a lopsided victory over FCS opponent Bethune-Cookman. The Knights were propelled by an explosive running game, headlined by Duke Watson and Taevion Swint. New QB Alonza Barnett was efficient during his time on the field and showed command of the offense. Defensively, the Knights were disruptive throughout the entire game, nearly notching a shutout before giving up a touchdown on the final play. Head Coach Scott Frost was appreciative that his team took care of business, but wants them to stay focused and hungry as the competition level increases next week.
