The college football season is finally upon us in Orlando, making it the perfect time to get our last-minute UCF record predictions in for the upcoming season. With high expectations surrounding the Knights, our experts are expecting big things, including UCF Hall of Famer Paul Carrington, who has the most successful prediction of the bunch. Here's our 2026-27 UCF Football Record Predictions: (Photo: Nate Hill/Staff , 247Sports)   John Weis: 7-5 Overall, 4-5 in Big 12 On the plus side, you have a lot of returning production plus stability at the QB position. And the secondary depth is unbelievable! On the negative side, they say that games are won and lost in the trenches for a reason, and I have questions about both sides of the line. Can the Knights protect Barnett ... and can they replace Lawrence and Kelly's pass-rushing production on the edge? And will the kicking game be as good as last season, or at least close? I'm going to make my prediction based on Barnett playing the whole season (or at least most of it) and put the Knights down for a 7-5 record.  Forgot to include the conference record … 4-5. (Hint…I think we beat Pitt.) Paul Carrington: 8-4 Overall, 5-4 in Big 12 I have a good feeling about this season. I'm going with an 8-4 overall record, including 5-4 in conference play. If they can get that win against Pitt, they should go into conference play undefeated against a TCU team that really struggled in their first game. To me, the season rests on Barnett's shoulders.  Joe Londergan: 6-6 Overall, 4-5 in Big 12 In non-conference play, there's no logical excuse for UCF to lose to either Bethune-Cookman or Georgia State. The Big 12 is still mighty deep, but this team should overpower programs in their own states of transition in Oklahoma State and Kansas. At the risk of eating crow later, I'm a lot less worried about TCU after watching them lose to North Carolina in Week 0. What's really going to help this team late in the year is the overall depth. Even if they have a few of the better players dinged up in the final week of the regular season, I think they'll have enough to end the regular season with a win at Colorado, who by that point will likely have their own injuries to deal with. Andrew Cherico: 7-5 Overall, 5-4 in Big 12 Let's put the schedule aside for a minute and really analyze this roster… The majority of the returning talent from last season, a proven winner at QB and second-year continuity for head coach Scott Frost, should equal at least two more wins than last season. Now, diving into the schedule, Pitt on the road just seems too tough, especially early on, but UCF bounces back with a positive record in conference play. I think UCF wins at least two games on the road; my guesses are Oklahoma State and Kansas.
