What is concerning to me is how much hype Morris gave Messy and Messy wasn’t even the best QB on the field today. The complete disconnect of his press clippings with what we actually saw raises some serious questions. I understand that it was only one game yet at the same time it was the season opener and against Tulsa so it was reasonable to expect a much better performance from Messy. I did like that Morris owned a lot of the blame. Gundy typically pointed fingers at every one else and rarely took accountability. That drove me crazy because it demonstrated a total lack of leadership. Morris is virtually guaranteed to start the season 0-2. There are no moral victories if the play Oregon close. And, if they play Oregon close it would mean to me they did a terrible job preparing for Tulsa. Right now there are more questions than answers for this football team. Morris has the opportunity to show his coaching chops or lack thereof over the next 3 games.
