I wish someone who knows the history could educate Josh about the rich history of the Tennessee/Ga Tech series. For years the game was a huge conference matchup. For the first 50 years of the SEC, Tennessee/ Alabama was THE game of the year but the Ga Tech/Tennessee game was THE game in some years. In 1980, the 1956 Tennessee/Ga Tech game was voted the Greatest Game ever in college football history. I believe it would be meaningful for the team to understand the complexities of the history. Ga Tech plays their home games in a stadium named after a former Tennessee QB/Tailback, Bobby Dodd. I think it would be great for the team to learn some of this. I’m a firm believer that you’ll never truly know where your going if you lose sight of where you’ve been.
