PFF grades aren't gospel, but he was one of the worst grades tacklers on the team last season, and that carried over to the Morgan State game in a limited sample.
I also understand that the Nickel is more LB / Safety hybrid than CB in Ward's defense, but then it's on the coaches not to leave the Nickel exposed against Slot WRs in coverage like in the above clip.
