FSU's athletic dept. is approx. 450 million in debt. The annual interest they are paying on that debt alone would most likely yield a top 10 NIL roster. This is why they've been desperate to get out of the ACC, as they've spent like a top SEC/Big 10 program though the money coming in has paled in comparison for many years. FSU is going to have to do something drastic - break off football from the other sports and/or shut other programs down, sell their soul to some private equity group, beg for Saudi money, etc.
