Kudos to Tyler for extricating himself from the elementary-school chair/desk, which can be seen in T-Frank's video. Excellent quickness. That should be a part of the $2,000 media room press conference experience. I was already standing up and trying to maneuver my camera (which was attached to a tripod) to shoot our video. Taupaki mentions Al Pola in the video. Al — aka Aoatoa Polamalu — is a former stating D-tackle on the 1986 national title team. He and his wife have houses in State College and Philly. Al is of Samoan heritage (and cousins with someone named Troy Polamalu). He and Pam have taken many PSU players under their wings through the years, but particularly Polynesian kids from the West Coast who don't have a lot of family in the area. I'd imagine they're going to have A LOT of guys over for holidays this year. I've become friends with Al and Pam. Great people.
