It was an issue but there were plays that just weren’t made. It’s not a scheme issue, we just didn’t make the plays. There have been games where we have (OU in the CFP), LSU in 2024, Wisconsin in 2024,2025. Tennessee in 2025. UGA - 1st drive up 24-14 went all the way down to the 26 of UGA and Simpson misses a read on 3rd down, miss the FG. - UGA then scores to make it 24-21 One play away from that being 31-14. Mizzou - Actually started in the first half, 17-7 lead and they go 57 yards and drill a FG. USCe - 4th down Simpson gets hit and overthrows Ryan Williams on a would be TD to make it 21-6. - 14-12, 2 drives later Simpson misses Bernard on a wide open TD Auburn, it was before the half - 17-3 before the half. Simpson missed Bernad for a huge gain yet again, instead it’s 17-6 and a long TD right out of the half and it’s 17-12.
