It’s the same as when folks heard Pete Golding the other day use a little bit of coaching vernacular when talking X’s and O’s and thought “wow he REALLY knows his stuff” when it’s just how any coach at any level talks ball. People get fascinated at the slightest peek behind the curtain and universally apply it. Like when Brooks said all we ran was cover 1 robber two years ago, this board went fvcking nuts over it. Despite all the D1 OCs struggling against us and despite the defense being obviously limited in its first year of install.
It’s fascinating because you can hear a commentator say something or see a tweet and just know everyone is about to take that and run with it because they simply cannot think critically. They will immediately regurgitate it exactly as they heard it.
