Sean McVay and the Rams actually run a fair amount of choice routes. But even then you’re right, this offense as a system isn’t ran in the NFL bc it’s not viable. But certain aspects of the system have been adopted into the NFL some. The inherent difficulty with choice routes and why you don’t see it near as much in the NFL is it takes a large volume of reps between a QB and WR/RB to establish chemistry to be on the same page to see the same post-snap coverage and the WR/RB running the correct route based off that coverage and the QB placing the ball to the right route also based on that same coverage. However, if you can establish good QB-WR chemistry, you can end up with an offensive product that looks like Hendon Hooker-Jaylin Hyatt and an offense that puts up video game numbers. Pretty sure Hyatt took home the Biletnikoff that year but as a lot of people have mentioned previously ITT, Hyatt is a name you never hear called on Sundays.
