It’s all going to be personnel and matchup driven depending on the opponent, but from the people I’ve spoken with, it feels like Champ and Sly (for better or worse) are going to be the primary guys at Star, with Newboy serving as the top backup at both safety spots for now. Maybe that changes as the season goes along, but I do think missing as much camp as he did set Newboy back a little developmentally. My guess is it takes him a few games to get fully caught up before we start seeing him get starter-level snaps.
