The D was ill-prepared in the first half to play agains the read option. That's my take after watching some film. Cal D adjusted at half - for sure - and it was a notable difference for the first 20 mins of the second half. What changed in the last 10 mins? That's up for debate but I will just add that throughout the game, I saw gap integrity issues, bad tackling angles, giving up the edge, cheating to stop the run and getting hit over the top for a long completion, missed tackles on the 3rd down on drives that ended in TDs, and so on. There's a lot that needs work.
