Clock Management - On the drive that ended in a field goal they had a player that was supposed to be on the field but came off the field while celebrating after the second down play. On the last Colorado drive they didn't have the right personnel on the field. Semore let Key know that they needed a timeout. "Would you like to have another timeout at the end of the game? Yeah definitely." Pat Boyle advises Key on time management during the game. What was soft about the effort? - "If their hat is under your chin, they have leverage. If they get their second step on the ground before yours, they have power. That equates to being soft." Getting knocked off the ball under those circumstances is soft. "We have to do a better job of coaching those things to the guys." Key's question to his coaches was why did this happen?  Should GT have continued to pass the ball on the final drive? - "We're trying to get the ball into a favorable position. At the end of the day, you always have hindsight 2020." Brent didn't want to get into should we have passed it more, should we have run it more. "It was pretty hard to have confidence in anything." That quote was based on how the line was playing. They were trying to get into position to end it with a kick.  Why was there poor discipline? - "That's what we asked over the past three days." Was it preparation, focus in a meeting? All those things add up. "It was an outcome of not playing up to the standard that this program has created over the last four years, and this team haas built for themselves over the last 8 months."   UT matchup and their QB - "As far as the QB, he is talented." Tennessee put him in a position to make plays and not have to carry the team. He can also run the ball. Hed also has poise and command of the offense. "They have a unique offense that causes problems and challenges." Defensively they put their players in a position to make plays. "They have fundamentally sound players. We're going to need everybody playing at their best."   Building the players up to get ready for UT - "Watching film together was a good exercise for us." I gave Key a chance to be with the team as a whole in the meetings. The team got to hear more of his mentality and philosophy. There were good things that took place in the game, but the coaches' job is to correct things that aren't right. "If you're not up for playing the second game of the year, what are you playing for? Key's biggest worry was what are the players listening to following the loss. "They see everything and they hear everything." They players are held accountable after giving them the why for it. "I fully expect us to go out and play better football." Who is the leader of the offensive line? - "We have to continue to gel and play as one." He knows you have to have leaders but right now it's not one individual. "Leadership is a little overblown if something doesn't go right." All five guys have to be leaders at some point in time. The group has to be able to play as one. If one player doesn't do their job, at the end of the day, it is one offensive line. Was there a point in the game where you felt you should have been more aggressive? - "Yeah, really I mean the whole game" They moved the ball effectively on the first drive. Self-inflicted penalties stalled the drive. The second rive they stayed with the plan and put the ball on the ground. "I have full confidence in our quarterback to move the ball." Key knows there are some decisions Berto would want back.    Communicating to team that the whole season is in front of them - "It's pretty obvious." They have a big opportunity with UT coming in Saturday. They haven't played an ACC game yet and there is a lot to improve on. The improvement is doing their job right. "A lot of the mistakes happened before the ball was even snapped."
