The defense was a huge problem that year too. I get that Foster and XT having health issues wrecked things, but we had tons of issues covered up by Brent's wizardry and Trevor+Travis putting games out of reach. Ohio State really exposed them. The offense struggling for a huge stretch of the game against *the worst OSU defense in modern history* was incredibly telling for what was to come on offense (and truthfully had been coming/was happening) especially once Streeter took over like he did in that game. That OSU defense had a terrible secondary and their DC Kerry Combs got baited into running ol country Cover 3 against Bama. However they held their own against us for long portions of the game. We had no clue what to do once they adjusted/we finished up our opening script.
