Dana Holgorsen said Nebraska has no designated starting running back among Isaiah Mozee, Mekhi Nelson and Jamal Rule, with all three getting touches on the opening drive against Ohio and the order against Bowling Green still dependent on practice.

Holgorsen described equal playing time and touches as Nebraska's running-back goal rather than a guaranteed split, allowing a hot hand to influence usage while favoring continued rotation when all three backs are playing effectively.

After Anthony Colandrea completed 18 of 32 passes against Ohio, Holgorsen set a completion target closer to 70 percent and emphasized better ball placement and less velocity on intermediate throws, while also identifying receiver drops as a contributor to the misses.
