The time has come after a momentous offseason with the hiring a legenday offensive coordinator and a promising QB room coach; with the unveiling of the Cats' future home. The Cats host South Dakota State in their opener. Although SDSU is an FCS team, they will likely be a challenge, particularly in NU's first game. SDSU has already had its first game, demolishing Stetson 70-7. Coach Braun has some familiarity with the Jackrabbit program from his time at rival North Dakota State. For the Cats, the defense, particularly the secondary, looks to be solid. Most curiosity will focus on the offense and Chip Kelly's reworking of those units.
