From SMUMustangs.com: Pittman named John Mackey Award Tight End of the Week BALTIMORE, MD (SMU) – Senior tight end Randy Pittman Jr. was named the John Mackey Award Tight End of the Week, the association announced Wednesday. Pittman, the transfer from Florida State, enjoyed his homecoming, pulling down five receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown, both career highs. Pittman also hauled in a career-long 30-yard pass from quarterback Kevin Jennings. The Panama City, Florida native was part of an offense that put up 585 total yards of offense, the most against an ACC opponent in program history and the fourth-most under head coach Rhett Lashlee. Pittman's honor is the first such weekly award of his career.
