You don’t understand the difference between NIL and revshare. The player acquisition budget has two components, NIL and revshare. I believe Rutgers is using revshare for existing players and NIL for new players, though they will never show the breakdown due to competitive reasons. You need to understand we didn’t spend $20M in the portal. It was a skeleton budget to get what we could. this would explain why Rutgers transfer class had two P5 players while UMass had 6. There’s no other way for me to explain the difference. UMass’s QB and WR transfer from Wisconsin were better than any one in our transfer class.
