Sincere Apologies to ru95, RU46 and all other Schiano doubters
Summary
Coaching: This is what stood out most in watching the game on TV.
This is what stood out most in watching the game on TV. He in the second half he seemed shellshocked and listless. No fire and no passion that you would have seen from him 20 years ago. Then you heard the press conference and you heard the defeat in his voice. He went through the motions of saying the right words ("its on me" "we'll get it fixed" etc.) but the tone and deliver was such that even he did not believe it. I have no idea what Schiano thought he was watching in practice. He did say that you have to show it on the field before the season. I think he saw hope but when the product hit the field, other than Duff and Raymond, the players went into a fetal position. No coaches had any answers for the utter failures they coached all spring and summer. All the hype around the new coaches was a farce, especially Turner, Hodgers, and Dotin-Carter. All three coaches had units that were abysmal failures.
