Agree that a loss to BC is the nail in the coffin. Always open to him performing a miracle, but homecoming will probably be his final bow at Rutgers. The problem with your last sentence is that we HAVE competed in the B1G in football. I define “compete” as being near the middle of the conference. We’ve beaten some B1G opponents and had competitive games with most, including OSU, UMich, and PSU. Those were fun, despite the all-too-predictable result. I think being a 6-8 win team, and competing in most games, would be fun in the B1G. Personally I wouldn’t care about anyone in the AAC. Now if we had a chance to go to the ACC? I’d take that in a heartbeat.
