It may get worse before it gets better. Say we go 6-6. Then in the offseason we’re gonna lose 4 out of our 5 starters on OL. Our WB. Our RB. The top two TE’s and possibly our best WR. Then on defense we lose all four starters at DL, our best player, who plays LB, and 3 out of our 5 starting DB’s. We’ll have some talent coming back, but we’ll also have to address the QB, OL, DL, and possibly WR position in the portal. Those are not easy or cheap positions to address. Everyone else will be looking for those types too. We HAVE to be extremely aggressive in the portal and pray we have the money. Back to back 6-6 years would be very difficult for CAG to overcome. In ‘27 we get to play Notre Dame, Bama, UGA, Oklahoma, A&M, and Texas. We have to win the rest of our games just to get back to 6-6. Tall order In ‘28, the schedule gets much easier: Notre Dame, @Bama , @uga , @UF, @LSU , Tennessee, and Ole Miss. lol Nobody want to hear it, I don’t want to say it, but unless our trajectory drastically changes course (and very well could) we’re a few years out still at best. Let CAG get his guys in here and give him a few years. But we cant afford to go 6-6 the next two years imo. In three years if we’re back at the drawing board searching for a new coach again we’re in Nebraska territory. JMO
