Just as someone who was at the game, I’m not very worried about our defensive line. I didn’t get the impression that the coaching staff was asking the ends to apply pressure, and in passing situations, the team applied really effective pressure. I think any deficiencies were brought about players being asked to play a unique gameplan to contain someone as dynamic as Joseph, and they did do just that. Opposite story on the OL though. Absher needs to be the man. Don’t care why or how it happened but that needs to be fixed. I was also a little unimpressed with communication between the guards and tackles. Felt like a couple guys missed assignments that led to the fumble scare and other such passing play mishaps. I’ll be honest and say I wanted to see a better game from Carr but I’m okay with the outcome, despite my wishes. If this is what a bad game looks like, that works. I will say that I think Wisconsin is gonna be a way tougher customer than most expect.
