*this was an explanation I got told, I verified the pavia part. Didn’t look at Minnesota* This is a Beck/kill decision. There is a history of how kill likes to use real games before riding with one qb out of a fall competition. Pavia was back up to Gavin Frakes year 1 of New Mexico State. Played in every game though until he won the competition. He did it two seasons at Minnesota. Second- I think the ideal world, from what I’ve heard, is Blaze 1st and 3rd quarter. Curtis 2nd and 4th. I would not anticipate much difference in play calling minus the game will be more diversified and Blaze and Curtis likely do more deigned QB runs.
