Utah defensive tackle Karson Kaufusi attributes his improvement entering 2026 primarily to better body composition and conditioning after work with the strength and nutrition staffs. That is a player-reported explanation for his stronger Idaho performance, not a new injury diagnosis, measured weight change or guarantee of the same production against Arkansas.

Kaufusi identified communication with Jireh Moe in practice and film work as central to Utah's interior partnership.
