Non-negotiable Gameday Tradition Chants That We HAVE To Do
Summary
LB: To make #TheKroge as loud as possible, it would be good to remind people of a few chants that everyone should participate in: SING "My Old Kentucky Home".
To make #TheKroge as loud as possible, it would be good to remind people of a few chants that everyone should participate in: SING "My Old Kentucky Home". Just do it. I get it: it's slow, archaic, but it is our thing that will never change. Belt it out! During the song "Seven Nation Army," yell "we are UK" during the gap in the chant. We do this pretty well. At kick-off, the official tradition is to spell "C-A-T-S" as soon as the ball is kicked. If done in unison, it is sick. We did it randomly well at the Gator bowl against Georgia Tech in like 2016, but I never have heard it done well since... If 10% do it, it is a flop. but if 90% do it... it's not UGA dog bark, but it's still sick and it's ultimately our chant. If we can do it after a touchdown, we can do it during kick-offs I say this only because we have a coach who truly believes this can be turned into a power. We have to treat it as such. Moving from "consumer" fandom to "culture building" fandom is the switch up we desperately need. Go Big Blue!
