A kid named Tate played RB at Central State when I was there, years ago. He was from Luther. He told me he started at KSU and played RB. there. I asked him why he was here at CSU and not still at K-State. Wish I could show you the expression on his face when he explained they played OU late the previous season, & he was hit so hard during that game; he never wanted to get hit like that ever again. I said, Aw, come on, he said no really. I have never been hit that hard by any other team. Not even close. They played harder back then; maybe it was all the pads.
