The offense as a whole was ineffective. The defense was solid, but had some breakdowns that can be corrected. I am not sure how the offense is going to shore up the offensive line. They could not open holes for the running game, they could not pass protect effectively. Byrum Brown will have to scramble more and throw on the run. The short passing game is going to be how we can overcome some of the offensive line inefficiencies. We need more screens to RBs out of the backfield, using deceptive motions, utilizing the tight ends, and short outs or over the middle throws consisting of 3-6 yards at a time. Bryce Cain has to be used more. His speed is electric.
