UAB gashed them on the ground and we are way more physical and capable in trenches with an elite RB - I like where Duke stands here. If IL CBs are in fact NFL talents as claimed, it seems this is another game Eget will use a lot of checks or short routes - It really feels DM should get some series (Not bc Eget isn’t good) but bc of how it changes the O pace and D coverage requirements - This seems like a strategy to truly keep IL guessing a bi more. Their QB p4 stats are atrocious - IIRC 7 TD to 9 INT. So their weakness in QB aligns well with Duke needing more growth/consistency in secondary. It should also allow Duke to truly own trenches here and pressure QB - Run D seems solid as always. Keys to win: - Selectively use passing game - Win trenches - 2 or fewer turnovers or failed 4ths - Finish drives better than the 3/9 or whatever they ended on last week of inside opponent 30 ( or so) and no points. They do those things well, this is a blowout win. Same score prediction as last week for me - Duke comes out early and wins big 42-17.
