We were walking from Science to Religion class in 7th grade. Saw the immediate aftermath of the second plane hitting while a janitor had a TV on in the hallway. We sat in Religion class not sure what was happening but I remember asking, “Does this mean World War 3?” and my religion teacher looking at me and said “almost certainly.” I remember fear running up my spine and then anger setting in. We went to football practice that afternoon and the priest for the parish came out onto the field and pulled us all into church for a prayer service. Each airplane I saw in the air for awhile afterward may me briefly fearful.
