How LSU assistant coach describes Lane Kiffin offense
Summary
LB: The line blocks are the same but the coaches can call different formations and motions to make it not resemble the same play presnap at all.
The line blocks are the same but the coaches can call different formations and motions to make it not resemble the same play presnap at all. For example let’s call a dive play Red 24 against Clemson. Saturday the lineman will still block 24 run block scheme but the offense is in Trips Right H Rocket alert RPO. Now a simple dive from one week turns into a different initial formation motioning into a 3rd formation with an RPO attached to it now. The linemen don’t have to do anything different and the receivers do a motion or shift they have been doing since spring. Very basic but hopefully gives you an idea of how quickly they can add or modify the offense with ease once you get the base offense installed
