Arizona LB Chase Kennedy says the defense must be more physical against BYU after allowing 258 rushing yards in last season's meeting. He described the NAU opener as a good start with details still to fix. The prior rushing total is context for this week's preparation, not evidence of a newly announced defensive scheme.

Kennedy praised Arizona LB Cooper Blomstrom's range, versatility and physical play in the NAU opener, saying his improvement had been visible since spring. That is a teammate's assessment supporting Blomstrom's development, rather than a reported promotion, new starting assignment or measured snap-share increase.
