Alabama's starting right guard, Michael Carroll, will not play Saturday at Kentucky.
The Tide downgraded Carroll from "doubtful" to "out" on Friday’s SEC player availability report. The sophomore played 74 snaps in Alabama's season opener against East Carolina but is recovering from a mild concussion, sources told Bama247's Brett Greenberg.
Alabama's starting guards Saturday could be William Sanders and Mal Waldrep, who split time at left guard in the opener. Sanders entered that game dealing with an oblique injury but has not been listed on the SEC availability report this week.
