Nice recap. I did notice a lot of player rotation already even in the first half. They were bringing in 6 guys at once. I think this game was purposely game planned to show Bowmsn’s complete skill set. So future DC’s have yo account for Mosely, KDW, and now Bowman. I think Simms has improved, but I think he will move behind Terell. I don’t know where Tanook will fall in as KDW has demonstrated he is here to stay. Miller is going to be the bell cow. Not sure if Jones punished him for the fumble last week, but he looked like he was focused on ball security vs just doing his thing. The defense has several concerns. Lunch killed is with his feet last night. Again it maybe bc we were very aggressive up front, but dual threat QB’s maybe a problem. Safety concern is still an issue, primarily lack of speed. A tight end blew by Urlacher. Not good. Jontez is the real deal. He should have had the pic six. We are going to need him against Moore and Smith! My biggest gripe was penalties. It killed momentum, extended drives, and resulted in several scores. Riley even acknowledged it at halftime, but his message was not received. Where is Kiffy when you need him. Just referring kiffy’s halftime locker room rant last week. I guess Riley is not a yeller, but overall just a tough game to watch. Lots of issues to address as Scott said “Meh,” but I think we have one more scrimmage with Rutgers, but I think the lineup will solidify. I think the key word was Opportunity for these 3 games. Either you flashed or you didn’t. Some kids may realize their fate is sealed, but they were given opportunities. The gauntlet will start after the Rutgers game and the rotation will be minimalized. Preseason is over!
