Boley is much better than Fette at this point and he played well for 3 quarters against a top SEC defense in fron... show more And yet we only scored 20 points and two pick sixes. So impressive. I don't post to have people agree with me, I just post because I know I am right and no one can convince me otherwise. I really only value Chris, Gadd, and Philly's opinion. But Chris has been a little too positive recently not sure why as I remember him holding other offensive coaches more accountable for 20 point performances in the past regardless of who we played. Maybe it is the fact that if Kenny screwed up this choice and Boyle is just average and Fette leaves and does great at Texas it makes Kenny look like an idiot and burns everything to the ground he was trying to build so puffing up Boyle is necessary so people don't lose faith in Kenny. The rest of this board seems to want burry their head in the sand ten miles deep and pretend loses like this are okay but still believe Kenny has elevated the program. He hasn't elevated anything if we are still loosing like this. You want to play with the big boys you don't get to lose like this and be okay with it. Other programs heads roll but us oh well we will get them next time. Dirk, Erickson, Graham all lost like this too. What is the difference? Actually worse since we were supposedly more talented than we have been in years. Boyle needs too much help. It benefits defenses we don't have a true running QB. In this day and age you can't win like that without blue blood talent. What can Boyle actually improve on that will beat BYU or TT? Nothing he doesn't have the tools to do it like a Fette will. He needs everyone else to elevate for him to win and we just saw what happens when we don't get that 20 points.
