What’s the story on Harlem Berry?
Summary
RB/LB: It’s not about bruiser, it’s about decisiveness, eyes, contact balance.
It’s not about bruiser, it’s about decisiveness, eyes, contact balance. Those 3 things and pass protection most important things for an RB then speed, elusiveness. I’ve said in a few topics about this, Berry and Durham just aren’t Kiffin preferred fit. Kiffin is a power run spread guy. Emphasis on power run style(inside zone, 2TE formations, some pullers from time to time)…Berry isn’t ready to be that type of runner. He’s 185 pounds maybe? And he’s not Achane who’s compact and strong as a bull. Compare that to Lacy(210), Judkins(220), Jones(205-210)… Even in Charles Power report he said the following “Has a smaller frame and will need to continue adding good mass in order to carry a substantial load at the next level. Ceiling as a true every down back will be determined by his ability to put on weight while maintaining his athleticism.”
