We’ve had 17 offensive drives under K1:
11 TD’s
3 FG’s
One missed FG (on a drive we wanted to clearly run the clock out to end the game and didn’t really try that hard to score)
One turnover
One punt
our offensive line (call it improved talent, call it the Mason miller effect, call it the K1 influence) is so much better it’s genuinely hard to believe. The numbers say they are genuinely good. My PTSD from the last two years is waiting for the shoe to drop, but objectively they are doing more than enough to let this thing hum.
WR - we just don’t miss BT. Would love to have him back, but what we are getting from the collective (and the massive step Ant has taken) is massive.
RB’s - Fluff looks the best he’s ever looked. Backups are ok. I would maybe like to see if JJ could grow into a role this year.
TE’s - no comment
all in all, we are witnessing something I cannot really wrap my head around. We have a chance over the next 3 weeks to go from being an interesting QB with an ok offense to a true heisman front runner for K1. Let’s just enjoy the ride and beat the cocks in Columbia next week.
