Big ooops on the doomer side. NYT screwed up the embargo on the coordinated anti-AI effort. They ran a reactionary article on a tweet that did not exist. All the people panicking should take some time to trace all of this back to Anthropic’s interest in creating a regulatory body, an FDA for AI, that they can control. Do some research on who benefits from that regulation. it's Anthropic. Also, take a look at Jaan Tallinn (billionaire Skype founder), who led Anthropic’s Series A financing. Tallinn is the major funder of AI-safety and existential-risk organizations, including the Future of Life Institute. Hmmmm…I wonder what his interests are.
