This is the biggest question on my mind after the game yesterday. The team many of us thought they had the potential to be showed up yesterday and kicked Oregon's ***. A very different team showed up against Tulsa. To me this will be a big indicator of how good of a coach Morris and his staff are. I cant help but be reminded of that 2018 cowboys squad with Corndog at QB, they showed up for big games, Throttling Boise State, beating #6 Texas, shoulda coulda woulda beat OU in norman, beat #7 West Virgina. but then would turn around and lost to unranked TCU or unranked Baylor. Id like to think this team learned its lesson against Tulsa. Morris's speech at the end of the game lends to the thought that he wont let them forget it either. "just remember, the people singing your praises this week are the same people telling you how **** you were last week" We have seen, in a two week span, that this team has a 3-9 floor and a 11-1 ceiling. Yes, i said 11-1 is the ceiling now. That team that showed up yesterday and beat oregons *** CAN win every game the rest of the season. What will determine the course of the rest of the season is which team will show up each week? will we see this team that beat Oregon the rest of the season? or will that team that lost to Tulsa show its ugly face again.
