Yesterday was one of the best games of total complete defense for both halves that I have witnessed. Intensity on tackles and very few missed assignments are things not seen since Knowles. One issue that I've seen in Cassidy's defense is we give up the edges. Tulsa took advantage last week and it was a problem last year at UNT. Oregon got to the edge a couple of times yesterday but for most of the game, we flowed to the boundary and kept the speed of the RBs bottled up. Secondary is playing well although#8 loses his man at times. My favorite secondary play was second quarter, third and 8, Oregon ran a tight end drag with Fields playing man. The TE caught the ball and tried to manhandle Fields for the first down marker and Fields did not let the much bigger TE push him around. Great game plan and execution by Cassidy and the defense yesterday!
