Here’s what I think happened: Dylan Braithwaite (who normally wears #7) was also wearing #56 ON SPECIAL TEAMS because I think Kevin Levy (also #7) was also playing on special teams. But Braithwaite also got a few reps on offense, and was switching between 56 and 7 throughout the game. So I just think that on that first offensive series, he forgot that he had the 56 jersey on when he checked in at slot WR. So, not GS’s fault, but rather the fault of both the player and one of the sideline coaches who is tasked with this type of thing.
