I will preempt this discussion I predict we will have after the first loss (yes we will likely lose at least one game this season) and say it is a bit lamentable that we didn’t or weren’t able to procure a portal safety this last round considering it is the single most important position in Patterson’s defense. The year before we went out and got Bishop and the year before that Ramsey. It’s not like we didn’t have good success previously. I guess they felt we had enough talent at the position already. Thoughts? Are you comfortable with our safeties going forward? Is any criticism warranted? Is this premature? Do you think we should have added a veteran or is this just hindsight 20/20 thinking?
