On consecutive plays, it appears that Hurst Jr. prematurely bit on a run fake, resulting in 61 yards and a touchdown. In the first play, he was able to recover quickly enough to save the touchdown. Below are three stills of each play. This touchdown put Syracuse up 12-0. Credit to Syracuse's playcaller for seeing Hurst bite the first time on traditional play action, and immediately dialing up a second run fake (jet sweep) for the TD. Hurst made some good plays in this game so hopefully this is an experience issue.
