ECU didn't think he was good enough, for the price he was asking. I still think ECU has bigger problems than QB, so I don't know. Maybe he'd be awful in this offense. But I'd have taken him. - Is our defense really a problem? Obviously poorly timed penalties hurt us in both games, but 10 of App State’s points came on drives that started inside our 25. We held them to less than 36% on 3rd down, less than 4 YPC, and had 2 sacks and 10 TFL. Too many explosives given up right now. That's what's costing them. Other than that, on a down in and down out basis, and stopping the run, they are fine. But there's a pretty high standard of defense here.
