VT even gave them opportunities in the 1st H but ODU had nothing in their arsenal to make them pay. Maryland - specifically Malik Washington and their WRs - will scorch that VT secondary. I don't know who wins this game but it will really be the first real assessment of what VT is this year. On paper, the rosters are similar in talent level - so this isn't what Franklin had to face in VMI or ODU, not even close. Also, I noticed that VT's offensive line graded out so poorly against ODU(!!!) that some of their more intelligent fans are starting to panic at what a capable DL is going to do to them. Grunk was getting burieed by AAC DL on every throw. The confidence - or OVERconfidence - coming out of Blacksburg after this start against lame duck competition is really laughable.
