Attendance tonight

USC attendance under Carroll when we were drawing 85k was the anomaly, not the historical rule. I went to plenty of Pac games growing up (especially against teams like Oregon State or Oregon who were crap and didn't have fans who traveled) where there were 30k just spread out through the Coliseum. So I think that it is cute that we are talking about USC attendance again this year as if it is some big surprise.
That said, I think that we are going to continue to see the trend downward in college football attendance in the near future both here at Pitt as well as nationally. The price barrier of entry continues to rise, people continue to have less money to spend, and the viewing experience at home continues to improve, and honestly the population that cares continues to age.
