Fresno State Spring Camp VIP Day 1.5: Bonus Intel!!
Summary
Davis needs to expand playcalling for explosive plays; stop running RB into line on 3rd-and-1.
Quote:
“Coach Davis said the biggest goal from Year 1 to Year 2 is that they need to create more explosive plays. He says it’s not too much about expanding “2.0” concepts to the scheme but rather developing the mentality, quarterbacks’ understanding of calculated risks, and play calling to make it happen. Davis also aims to improve on third-down efficiency this offseason.”
That’s a bit ambiguous, but I think it means Davis has realized he needs to open up the playbook and not run Ramirez straight into the line on every 3rd and 1.
I hope so.
